2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Tournament Results

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — University of New Mexico women’s golfer Rebecca Hellbom shot a 12-over-par 83 Tuesday during the second round of the 2010 U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Tournament. Hellbom miss the cut despite firing an even-par 71 Monday during the opening round. She finished tied for 76th at the Warren Golf Course in Notre Dame, Ind.

Hellbom, a sophomore for the Lobos, was tied for 30th after the first round. She finished with a tournament total of 71-83=154 and missed the cut by two strokes.

The Vasteras, Sweden native had a 76.59 stroke average during the 2009-10 season and was a vital part of the Lobos’ 16th-place finish at the 2010 NCAA National Championships. Hellbom played in all 11 events this past season, finishing sixth at the MWC Championships.
