Despite operating out of a facility with ongoing construction that forced fans outside to use bathrooms and buy concessions, the University of New Mexico finished 22nd in the nation in men’s basketball attendance at 13,595 a game during the 2009-10 season.

UNM had sellout crowds of 14,586 for its last five games, and nine times in 18 home games overall. The average attendance of 13,595 was 93% of capacity.

The final sellout against TCU pushed UNM past the 12-million mark all-time at The Pit. Total attendance is now 12,010,173 for 776 games since the arena opened on Dec. 1, 1966.
