ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Members of the University of New Mexico football team spent Saturday afternoon with kids from the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico. The Lobos invited numerous children and their families out to the UNM facilities for an afternoon of fun. The families were given a tour of the facilities, the children participated in football drills and the afternoon closed with an ice cream social.
Lobo players signed autographs, demonstrated drills and had fun with the children. The kids spend hours laughing with players and going through multiple drill stations inside the indoor practice facility. All the kids walked with a Lobo hat and lots of smiles.
Staff members of the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico were on-hand Saturday. Senator Michael D. Sanchez was in attendance, along with George and Diane Trujeque. For more information about the Children’s Cancer Fund of New Mexico visit http://www.ccfnm.org.
