The University of New Mexico women’s swimming and diving team (2-2) will hit the road this weekend as they travel to Utah for two meets in two days. Friday Nov. 6 the Lobos will take on conference opponent BYU as well as Seattle University in the Stephen L. Richards Building in Provo, Utah with competition beginning at 6 p.m. On Saturday , Nov. 7, the squad is slated to compete against Utah and Boise State in Ute Natatorium in Salt Lake City at 1 p.m.
Friday’s meet will feature a marquee match-up on the 1-meter board. New Mexico’s Ashlee Erickson holds the top conference mark (298.95) for the season, but is followed closely by BYU’s Tawni Jones (292.88).
Last week the Lobos defeated Northern Colorado, 244-180, in one of only two home meets of the season. Erickson captured first on the 1-meter dive while teammate Sasha Evangulova captured first on the 3-meter dive.
