It’s a busy weekend for The University of New Mexico swimming and diving team. The swimmers will be competing at the Toshiba Classic hosted by UCSD at Belmont Plaza Olympic Pool in Long Beach, Calif. Competition will take place Nov. 19-21 with events occurring all day. The diving squad is competing at the Wildcat Diving Invitational in Tucson, Ariz. hosted by The University of Arizona.
26 teams will be competing at the Toshiba Classic on the women’s side. In Long Beach, the preliminary races for flight A women will start at 10:30 a.m. and the prelims for flight B women will start at 12:30 p.m. each day (all times MST). Finals for everyone, the men and all the women, will begin at 5 p.m. every day.
Results will be available on GoLobos.com as well as on the meet page on the UCSD website.

Last weekend i n the last home meet of the season the University of New Mexico’s swimming and diving team fell to New Mexico State, 158-142 and Wyoming, 195-105. Five seniors, Sasha Evangulova, Alexandra Lusk, Ashley Grisdale, Bridget O’Hara and Jennifer Patterson, competed in Seidler Natatorium for their final time. Patterson had a stellar showing for the Lobos in the 200-yard butterfly where she captured first-place with a time of 2:06.91. In the 100-yard butterfly Patterson also finished first (57.38). On the boards Ashlee Erickson led the competition on the 1-meter dive with a mark of 268.60.
