In the second meet of the season, the Lobos (1-2) will host Northern Colorado in one of only two home meets in the 2009-10 season. Competition will begin at 5 p.m. in the newly-renovated Seidler Natatorium. Renovations to the pool feature a new scoreboard as well as an all-time records board.
It will be the first career home meet for five freshmen (four swimmers, Alyssa Keill, Hayley Martin, Hannah Mercier, and Lindsey Morris, and one diver, Stephanie DeLang) along with first-year assistant coach Crystal Forbes.
Last year the Lobos defeated Northern Colorado 1057-839 in Greeley, Colo. Under head coach Tracy Ljone, New Mexico holds an all-time 3-0 advantage over the Bears.
