He has yet to play a game, but former University of New Mexico standout Glover Quin is becoming a household name with the Houston Texans. Mentioned previously in several offseason training reports by the Texans’ official website (www.HoustonTexans.com), Quin was the subject of a feature by Houston Chronicle columnist Richard Justice on Monday.

Quin was a three-year starter at cornerback for the Lobos, earning first team all-Mountain West Conference honors in 2008 before being selected by Houston in the fourth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. The Summitt, Miss. product finished his UNM career with 156 tackles, a school record 36 pass break-ups, and seven interceptions in just 36 career games (34 starts). Quin also had 7.5 tackles for loss in his career – the most ever by a Lobo corner.
