Former University of New Mexico standout Glover Quin is turning heads early in his professional career with the Houston Texans. A fourth round draft pick last month, Quin has caught the eye of the Texans’ coaching staff and been mentioned several times by the team’s official website, www.HoustonTexans.com, for his early performance in Houston’s organized training activities.
Quin had an interception three days in a row last week and was the primary topic of conversation in the Texans’ May 20 OTA report.

The Summitt, Miss. product started all three years at cornerback for New Mexico, finishing his career with 156 tackles, a school record 36 pass break-ups, and seven interceptions in just 36 career games (34 starts). Quin, a first team all-Mountain West Conference selection as a senior, also had 7.5 tackles for loss in his career – the most ever by a Lobo corner.
