COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The Mountain West Conference has announced its 10th Anniversary Softball Team, as selected by a combined panel of media, institutional and conference personnel and online fan poll. Former Lobo Kelly Glass was honored by the league office today after being a four-time All-MWC selection during her career. Glass is the all-time hitter leader at New Mexico with 242 hits during her career and is the only Lobo on the 10th Anniversary team.

Glass was a four-year starter in center field for New Mexico and was a .336 lifetime hitter. She played in 224 games as a Lobo with 104 runs scored, six doubles, a triple and 49 RBI. Glass ranks second all-time at UNM with 88 stolen bases, third all-time in batting average, third in games played and first in at-bats.

In order to be eligible for consideration, candidates must have been an all-Mountain West selection at least once in their careers. Anniversary teams will be chosen for each of the 19 conference-sponsored sports during the 2008-09 season in celebration of the Mountain West’s 10th anniversary.
