OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla.—The Lobos remain in eighth-place after the second day of competition at the Mountain West Conference championships in Oklahoma City, Okla. On the 1-meter dive three Lobos finished in the top-10.

Sasha Evangulova led the way for UNM with a sixth-place finish and a score of 271.20. Following in seventh was Aubrey Bush with a mark of 259.00, and in ninth was Ashlee Erickson (251.85).

Freshman Marissa Campbell placed eighth in the 50-yard freestyle with a finals time of 23.47. Also capturing an eighth-place finish for the Lobos, with a time of 1:34.98, was the 200-yard freestyle relay team consisting of Campbell, Tesse Maciekno, Sally Bellinger and Katrina McLoughlin.

Day three events begin with the 400-yard individual medley prelims at 10 a.m. CT, with the finals starting at 6 p.m. CT. The 2009 MWC Swimming and Diving Championships conclude Saturday, February 28.
