UPDATE – University of New Mexico head football coach Mike Locksley will be a featured guest on ESPN’s show Outside The Lines which will air live nationally on Sunday at 7 a.m. Mountain time. The Emmy-winning investigative series, hosted by Bob Ley, examines social issues off the playing field.

Sunday’s Outside The Lines show will feature a discussion on the issue of African-American head coaches in college football.

Locksley, who was introduced as New Mexico’s new football coach on Dec. 9, will be part of a panel of guests that includes: BCA Executive Director Floyd Keith, Ohio State Director of Athletics Gene Smith, Houston Head Football Coach Kevin Sumlin, Michigan State Board of Trustees Chairman Joel Ferguson, AOL Sports columnist Kevin Blackistone, and Institute for Diversity and Ethics in Sport Director Richard Lapchick.

Sunday’s interview is the latest in a series of national media requests for the Lobos’ newest head coach. Since being announced on Tuesday, Locksley has done interviews on ESPN’s College Football Live show, been featured in an article by ESPN.com writer Graham Watson and appeared on a Baltimore sports talk radio show, among others.
