Name: Gayle
Game: New Mexico vs. Grambling State University
1. How long have you been coming to Lobo basketball games?
Gayle: Since the mid-70’s
2. Why is Lobo basketball so exciting?
Gayle: I just love the Lobos! I’ll watch them wherever they go. I’ll travel with the team and watch them, we always do!
3. Where is the most exciting place you have traveled to watch the Lobos play?
Gayle: We went to Hawaii years ago, and we’re going to San Diego again in January.
4. It is Steve Alford’s second year here at UNM, what do you believe he has brought to our basketball program?
Gayle: He’s been great for the program; we are behind him 100%. I think he’s brought a lot of talent and I think he’s brought some really great students too!
5. If you could ask Steve Alford any question, what would you ask?
Gayle: When are we going to the NCAA rather than the NIT? Of course!
6. What are you most looking forward to this season?
Gayle: Just a great game of basketball, we thoroughly enjoy the team – just watching them.
7. Who is your favorite player? Why?
Gayle: Daniel Faris is my favorite player; if not him, then Chad Toppert. Probably Chad because he went to school with my daughter at Academy for forever!
8. Are you enjoying your night tonight at Lobo basketball?
Gayle: We’re having a great time. IT is the first game I’ve been to all season!
