Head Coach Jeremy Fishbein

Thoughts on the game:
“At times we played really well, we made a game a lot more exciting than we should have though. We are still not locking down leads, and that’s a bit of concern. Some of it is just little decision, slight little mental mistakes that we can’t give our opponents chances to win. It was a good win though. We scored three goals, and Urbany and Fite got their first starts. It will be better next game.”

Senior Mike Porter

Thoughts on the match:
“They had some good players up top that caused some problems. We gave the ball away in areas that helped them counter. I think as a whole, we need to play better offensively and control the ball to limit their chances of scoring goals.”

“It’s really tough to make the line-up every week when everyone is at full strength. We have 20 guys who can play anywhere in the country. We have great players at every position. What was great this week is that every day of practice was extremely competitive. I think that makes our team more dynamic. Our mindset is to go out there and win. We don’t care if we play pretty or ugly, we just want the win.”

Sophomore James Urbany

On his first career start:
“It was a great moment to get my first start. We played a mix tonight. We need to work on putting in 90 minutes of great soccer. Sometimes we kill it and sometimes we don’t.We gave them some really good chances at the end. The only thing on our mind right now is winning. The conference is in Denver’s hands right now so we have to win. We need to just put that 90 minutes together, and we will be fine.”

Junior Simon Ejdemyr

Thought on the game:
“We played on and off. At times we played great soccer and then there were lapses where we just gave the ball away too much. We had to defend too much. If we keep the ball longer, we don’t have to defend that much. Our goal is to win our next four games. We need to take one game at a time though. That’s all we can do. I can feel were going to play very well in the next couple games. I feel it. We just need to be consistent over 90 minutes.”
