Albuquerque native Michael Reed was a four-year letter winner at Sandia High School. The sophomore midfielder is a second-year starter for the Lobos. He was born on Oct. 28, 1987, and is the son to Todd and Joni Reed. Reed is an exercise science major, and wants to go into personal training and coaching after college. We played 20 questions with Reed and here is how he responded.

1) Who was your largest influence growing up?
My father

2) What was your hardest subject in high school?
Science and/or Chemistry

3) If it was karaoke night, what song would you sing?
A Journey song

4) What is one word that describes you?
Crazy

5) Which super hero would you be?
The Flash

6) Who wins in football this Saturday, Texas or Texas Tech?
Not sure, I will be watching the Lobo-Utah game

I’d do snowboarding. It would just be fun for me

The Lobos will try to strike back against the UNLV Rebels on Halloween-Friday at the UNM Soccer Complex. New Mexico lost the last match 2-1 against the Rebels in Las Vegas, but the Lobos were short a couple of key players due to injuries. UNM should be healthy for Friday’s match. Currently, the Lobos and the Rebels are tied for second in the conference with 3-2-0 records. Game time is set for 7 p.m. (M.D.T).
