Head coach Jeremy Fishbein
On the match:
“We gave up a goal and flipped out a little. In segments of the game we played really well. We were missing two guys, Simon and Murphy, who kind of keep the composure of this team together. We scored two fortunate goals tonight. We have been unfortunate a lot this season, so lets accept it and its great to get a win when you don’t play your best. This was a good Stanford team that has fallen on bad luck this season. Were happy we got the win.”
Freshman Michael Green
On his game-winning assist:
“I saw JD run by my left, and I flicked it through to him. He then put a nice shot on goal. Offensively we played really well I thought. We had a lot of scoring chances, but it seemed we just took a lapse during the game. I think we played really well. We just need to keep are heads in the game against UNLV next week, unlike what we did last week when we faced them.”
Junior Justin Davis
On his game-winning goal:
“It was nice for us to get back on a winning note. We have been playing well, but have been a little bit unlucky. We are still trying to find out who we are. I think tonight we showed we had a little bit of character in us. When we have our chances, we need to take advantage.”
Junior P.J. Wilson
On his goal in the first half:
“It was a cross and Wright headed the ball back down, and it was just sitting there for me. I put it in. I thought in the first half we were creating a lot of chances, but we weren’t keeping the ball like we wanted to. The good thing was we were creating chances. Next week we need to play the full 90 minutes like we know we can, bottom line.”
