ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The University of New Mexico women’s tennis team starts fall play this weekend as they host the UNM Fall Invitational Sept. 19-20 at the Lobo Tennis Club. The Lobos welcome Denver, Northern Arizona, Kansas and Abilene Christian. Action will begin each day at 9 a.m. and admission is free.
FROM ASSISTANT HEAD COACH Roy Canada:
“We have three seniors this year and the rest of the team are sophomores and freshmen so the invitational will be a good opportunity for them to get some experience. I am hoping for some good competition, the girls to be a little sore and for them to get a lot of playing time. This invite helps us get prepared, see who is playing the best and helps to start to determine our line up for the spring.”
