– The 23rd-ranked Lobo men’s soccer team downed No. 2 Akron in front of 2,709 fans at the UNM Soccer Complex tonight.
– The Lobos get their fourth win over a top-5 ranked team in school history…UNM is now 4-8-2 against teams ranked in the top-5.
– It is UNM’s first win over a top-5 team since beating No. 1 Indiana 1-0 in double-overtime on Sept. 19, 2004, at the UNM Soccer Complex. The Lobos also tied No. 1 SMU on Sept. 15, 2006.
