Louisville 2 – No. 21 New Mexico 1 (2OT)
– The Lobos were pushed to overtime for the third time in four games this season.
-Today’s loss was just the third overtime loss for New Mexico in head coach Jeremy Fishbein’s tenure…the Lobos are now 18-3-14 in OT games since 2002.
– New Mexico is usually very good with a lead. This is just their fourth loss in Fishbein’s career at UNM when the Lobos score first (76-4-8).
-Senior Chris Wright scored the Lobos only goal of the match, giving him two on the year and 22 for his career. He is now tied with former All-American Lance Watson (2002-05) for sixth all-time in goals scored a UNM.
-Louisville is just the sixth team to get a win at the UNM Soccer Complex in Fishbein’s tenure. The Lobos are 46-6-5 at home under Fishbein.
