There were clear skies and hot conditions for the start of the TLC Plumbing & Utilities Invitational, as Louisville took down No. 29 UC Davis in an overtime thriller, 1-0.
Two minutes into overtime, forward Quincy Amarikwa hit the post with a blast, almost giving UC Davis the victory. In the 93 minute, the ball slipped through the Aggies defense from the right side, and Bryan Kanu beat the keeper with a shot to give Louisville the 1-0 victory.
On Sunday Sept. 6, Louisville takes on the No. 21 UNM Lobos at the UNM Soccer complex at 4:00 p.m. (M.D.T.) in the second wave of matches for the TLC Plumbing & Utilities Invitational. Next up for UC Davis is the Spartans of Michigan St. on Sept. 6 at the UNM Soccer Complex. Game time is set for 11:00 a.m. (M.D.T.).
