Eight current and future Lobos are spending their summer playing baseball for leagues across the country.

Three Lobos, including recent signee Edwin Carl, are playing for the Hays Larks who clinched the 2008 Jayhawk League Champion on Monday. Mike Brownstein is leading the batting charts for the team at .400 after 18 games. Rafael Neda is continuing to strengthen his skills as catcher.

Brian Cavazos-Galvez is an outfielder for the Battle Creek Bombers and is hitting .333 with 15 runs scored, 10 doubles, two home runs, 15 RBI, and two stolen bases.

Bobby Moore is currently playing for the LodiGrape Sox of the Sierra League in California. The LodiGrape Sox have a record of 32-15.

Future Lobo Cameron Monger is an outfielder for the Dodge City A’s. He is currently hitting .200 with eight runs and three RBI.

Bret Fanning and Anthony Martinez are currently playing for the Cheyenne Grizzlies. Fanning is batting .303 with 19 runs, 14 RBI, one double, three triples, one home run, and 12 stolen bases. Martinez is batting .216 with 17 runs 22 RBI, six doubles, one home run and five stolen bases.
