June 10, 2008 ▪ Albuquerque, NM – On Friday and Saturday, May 30th and 31st, 142 golfers participated in the Albuquerque Ford Dealers Lobo Club Golf Tournament at Twin Warriors Golf Club in support of UNM student-athletes. Beautiful weather and an enthusiastic group of Lobo supporters helped to make this year’s tournament one of the best ever. Thanks to the sponsors, participants, volunteers, and other contributors, this year’s tournament has raised over $50,000 in support of Lobo student-athletes.
On Friday, participants were welcomed with a Lobo Club Golf Tournament polo shirt, a $50 gift certificate to Twin Warriors, and a pair of Nike golf shoes! They enjoyed a lunch buffet followed by 18 holes of golf and a relaxing evening reception at the Hyatt Tamaya. Saturday morning started with a hearty breakfast and continued with another round of golf to complete the tournament. A barbeque luncheon was enjoyed by all as we recognized our tournament sponsors and announced first, second and third place teams for all three flights as well as closest-to-the-pin and longest drive winners. Congratulations to this year’s tournament champions, Jeff Greenhill and Karl Jarvis from Bank of the West!
