ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — New Mexico women’s golfer Jodi Ewart was named an honorable mention All-American today by Golfweek. Ewart becomes only the fifth two-time All-American in New Mexico history, after being named a second team selection in 2007. The 2008 Mountain West Conference Co-Player of the Year competed in 10 tournaments finishing the year with a 74.41 scoring average.

Ewart was one of three MWC golfers honored by the publication. TCU’s Valentine Derrey was selected to the third team while UNLV freshman Therese Kolbaeck was named honorable mention.

The sophomore from North Yorkshire, England, captured her second individual MWC Championship after defending her title in April at the UNM Championship Golf Course. Ewart made six top 15 finishes during the year and closes out the season with a career scoring average of 73.84.
