ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico men’s tennis head coach Alan Dils announced today that three have signed National Letters of Intent for the 2008-09 season. Two are from Canada and the other is from England.
Phillip Anderson is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. He won the Boys 16 National Championship in Canada. Anderson is currently No. 2 in Boys 18.
Carl Ho comes from Richmond, British Columbia. He was ranked No. 6 in Canada.
Ben Dunbar joins the program from Nottingham, England. He was a Top 10 junior player. Dunbar had the same LTA Rating as Johnny Parkes did coming out of juniors.
New Mexico looks to return seven student-athletes from a 2007-08 squad that has secured a piece of the regular season championship in the Mountain West Conference with the MWC tournament and possibly NCAA tournament to come this season.
