Lincoln, Neb. — The University of New Mexico men’s tennis team defeated Nebraska 4-3 for its third straight victory. The Lobos swept doubles and won three singles in the road match.
In doubles, Max Jones and Kamil Pajkowski played the No. 1 spot and beat David Bendheim and Tobias Schneider 8-3. Chris and Johnny Parkes teamed up for an 8-2 win over Calin Paar and Mark Tate. Graeme Kassautzki and Joe Wood gave the Lobos the doubles sweep with an 8-7(3) victory against Hendrik Stahmer and Francois Van Impe.
Johnny Parkes beat Paar 7-6(2), 6-3 at the No. 2 spot. Chris Parkes won against Renato Melo 6-2, 7-6(5) at the No. 5 spot. Pajkowski defeated Schneider 6-2, 6-0 at No. 6 for one of New Mexico’s three singles points.
The Lobos take some time off before hosting six straight matches. Old Dominion kicks off the long home stand on March 20.
