Three members of the University of New Mexico women’s swimming and diving team were named to the all-Mountain West Conference team as announced today by the league office.
Senior swimmer Tori Clarridge was selected for the fourth year in a row based on her in the 100-yard backstroke at the 2008 MWC Championships last week in Oklahoma City. Clarridge placed eighth in the event with a finals time of 57.91.
Senior diver Carrie Quinn was also selected for the fourth year in a row for her conference championship performances in the 1-meter and 3-meter dives. Quinn, the Lobos lone representative in the NCAA post-season, finished third in the 3-meter (287.55) and sixth in the 1-meter (260.00).
Sophomore Ashley Grisdale was selected for her performance in the 200-yard butterfly. The two-time all-MWC honoree placed seventh in the event with a finals time of 2:05.47.
