BOISE, ID – The University of New Mexico men’s tennis team won its semifinal match of the Mountain Regional Indoor Championships against Utah on Saturday. The Lobos, No. 54, defeated No. 67 Utah 4-1.
Johnny Parkes defeated Wes Hancock 6-0, 6-1, while his brother Chris knocked off Othman Zerouali-Ovaniti 6-4, 6-2. Graeme Kassautzki earned the win over Miron Mann 6-1, 6-2. Kamil Pajkowski also got a win. He beat Timmy Allin 6-4, 6-3. Max Jones, No. 35 had his match against Zach Ganger but the match ended in the third set.
With the victory, UNM advanced to the finals against the host Boise State. That match will be at 6 p.m. tonight.
