WINTER PARK, Colo. — The Lobo ski team is fourth place following today’s Nordic races at Snow Mountain Ranch, site of the 14th Annual Laura Sharpe Flood Memorial Ski Invitational hosted by the University of Colorado. New Mexico picked up 102 points in the men’s 10km and women’s 5km freestyle races.

Freshman Simon Reissmann picked up his third Top-10 finish in three races this season. Reissmann placed fourth in the freestyle with a time of 27:19.4. Tor-Hakon Hellebostad and Casey Dyck picked up points for the men with 17th and 26th place finishes, respectively. Freshman Martin Kaas made his first appearance of the season, 33rd place, after missing the Utah Invitational with the flu.

Sophomore Polina Ermoshina earned her second Top-10 finish of the season, improving five places in the freestyle race from last week’s 13th-place finish at Utah to eighth place at Colorado. Ermoshina skied the race in 16:03.6. Melanie Zemp and Crystin Jaques picked up points for the women with 20th and 24th place finishes.

Competition continues on Sunday, Jan. 20, with the women’s 10km and men’s 15km classic races at 9:30 a.m.
