WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. — The New Mexico Nordic ski team wrapped up the last day of the Yellowstone Ski Festival with a mixed relay sprint competition this morning. Lobo alumni Kristina Strandberg and Dirk Grimm won the race in 24:27, edging out current Lobos Polina Ermoshina and Simon Reissman at 24:28 in second place.
The team of Crystin Jaques and Casey Dyck placed fifth with a time of 25:15, followed by Melanie Zemp and Martin Kaas in sixth with a time of 25:18.
The Nordic squad travels to Breckenridge, Colo., for more training, Dec. 1-2. The Alpine team will head to Winter Park, Colo., on Dec. 8-9.
