TEAM
– New Mexico recovered five fumbles in a game for the first time since 1994 against Hawai’i
– UNM scored on its first drive for the 5th time this season (5-0 when scoring on opening possession)
– Lobos have not allowed a point in the fourth quarter of the past three games
– Since 2004, the Lobos are 9-1 in games decided by three points or less, including seven straight victories
– New Mexico snaps a three-game losing streak to Air Force
– UNM improves to 6-2 (3-1 MWC), continuing its best start under 10th year head coach Rocky Long…UNM is 3-1 in MWC play for the first time since the 2002 season
– The Lobos held the ball for 34:40…in the last nine meeting with Air Force, the team with the time of possession advantage is 8-1
– New Mexico won for just the sixth time in its last 15 home games

– Had a career-high 41 carries…ties for second most carries in a game in school history…Reginal Johnson had 41 against Tulsa in 1996…School record is 47 by Mike Williams vs. UTEP in 1977
– 146 yards rushing…4th 100-yard game of the season, 8th of his career
– 2,155 yards rushing in his career, moving into 7th place all time at UNM…passed UNM head coach Rocky Long (2,071) in tonight’s game
– Rushed 24 times for 92 yards in the second half
– Has 11 touchdowns in last four games at University Stadium

Senior WR Travis Brown
– Had five catches for 57 yards…moves into seventh place all-time at UNM with 1,856 career receiving yards
– Caught a pass in his 33rd career game

Sophomore QB Donovan Porterie
– Improves to 9-2 in games he has started and finished in his career- 16-28 passing for 169 yards with one INT and one TD…fewest passing yards and second fewest completions on the season

Senior WR Marcus Smith
– 84 yards on 7 catches, moving up to ninth on UNM’s career receptions list with 121…remains in 11th place all-time with 1,671 receiving yards

Senior K John Sullivan
– Went 4-5 on FGs tonight, missing his last attempt from 32 yards…Hit his first four from 43, 20, 32 and 38
– With his first four FGs tonight, he set a new school record 18 consecutive FGs made before his final miss…began his career 1-3
– 19 of 22 on the season…19 FGs tie for second best in a single season at UNM…school record is 21 by Colby Cason in 13 games in 1997
– Leads the MWC in scoring with 79 points on the year
-Kicking with a torn ACL in his left (plant) leg that he suffered in late April of 2007

Junior TE Chris Mark
– Had one 12 yard TD catch and caught a two-point conversion…last six catches have included two touchdowns and two 2-point conversions
