PALO ALTO, Calif. — New Mexico women’s golf finished in 11th place at the Stanford Intercollegiate Sunday at the Stanford Golf Course. Sophomore Jodi Ewart tied for 13th individually after shooting a 6-over par 219 for the event. The Lobos were 70-over par as a team while Arizona State captured the tournament title at 10-over par. Arkansas’s Stacy Lewis took home the individual title at 2-under 211.

Ewart enter the finals tied for third but fired a 4-over par 75 to slip into a tie for 13th. Ewart carded rounds of 69-75-75 through 54-holes. Junior Mikaela Backstedt finished tied for 53rd at 21-over par and shot a 4-over par 75 on the final day. Senior Giselle Claux was 24-over for the tournament and tied for 62nd.

Junior Py Bengtsson shot an 81 Sunday and tied for 80th. Senior Alexandra Phelps was 86th after shooting 34-over par. Phelps shot her best round of 3-over par 74 in the finals.
