Junior TB Rodney Ferguson (Doak Walker Award Candidate)
-Lowest rushing total of the season, but won the game for the Lobos with his 6-yard TD run with 11 seconds to play
      -Also gained 6 yards on a 4th-and-1 play from the SDSU 21 during the final drive
-Scored his 9th rushing TD of the year after finding the end zone 7 times in 13 games last year
-Moved into 11th on the UNM career rushing list with 2,009 yards
      -Passed Bobby Santiago (1,937), Dave Bookert (1,971), and Don Perkins (2,001)

Senior WR Marcus Smith
-Finished with 182 all-purpose yards, including 73 on 5 catches
      -Also had 100 yards on 4 kick-off returns, including a long of 35 – the longest by a Lobo this season
-22-yard catch on the first play of the Lobos’ game-winning TD drive in the final 2 minutes
-Returned to San Diego 3 weeks after his mother’s (Sheila) funeral here on Sept. 27

Sophomore QB Donovan Porterie
-Has led New Mexico to come-from-behind victories 4 times in his 12 starts (3 in ’06)
      -Two of those have come on the final drive of the 4th quarter (also at Colorado State in ’06)
-8-2 in games he has started and finished in his career
-3-4 for 35 yards and 14 yards on 2 rushes on the game-winning 8-play, 65-yard TD drive in the final 2 minutes
-7-10 for 88 yards and a 25-yard TD on the Lobos’ game-tying 94-yard drive in the final 3 minutes of the 1st half

Junior CB DeAndre Wright
-Broke up another pass, giving him 5 PBUs in his last 3 games and 8 on the year
-Has not allowed a long pass (15+ yards) in 4 games
-All 4 long passes allowed this season have come in 2 games (Arizona and New Mexico State)
-29-yard fumble return to seal the victory

Senior S OJ Swift
-Recovered his 3rd fumble of the season, setting up the Lobos’ game-winning TD drive in the final 2 minutes

Senior K John Sullivan
-After a 1-3 start to his career, he has now hit 14 consecutive field goals to move to 15-17 on the year
-15 field goals is tied for 6th on the UNM single-season list
-Kicking with a torn ACL in his left (plant) leg that he suffered in late April of 2007

Senior P Jordan Scott
-Forced 5 fair catches, had two balls land inside the 20 and did not allow any return yardage on his 7 punts (35.6 net average)
-Just 7 of his 37 punts have been returned this year for a total of 25 yards (17 fair catches)

Junior LB Zach Arnett
-Matched his career-high with 7 tackles
