TULSA, OKLA. — University of New Mexico women’s tennis sophomore Sandra Zmak advanced to the finals after outlasting a higher ranked opponents. Ranked 21 in the region, Zmak met up with Wichita State’s Florentina Hanish, regionally No. 16, in the semifinal match of the consolation draw.
The match went to a third set tie breaker that Zmak won to win the match (6-3, 3-6, 10-5) and advance to the final.
Play will finish on Sunday at 9.m. on Okla.
