ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — The University of New Mexico women’s tennis team will host the Individual Invitational this weekend. Action starts at 6 p.m. on Thursday with one round of doubles. Lobos senior Jennifer Ryba and freshman Emma Hayman pair up while juniors Maria Sotirchos and Mackenzie White will form another team.

Participants include Colorado, Idaho, Texas-El Paso, Boise State, Northern Arizona, Air Force and in state rival New Mexico State.

Matches will be played inside the tennis bubbles as well as on the outdoor courts at the Lobo Tennis Complex on the UNM South Campus.

On Friday, there will be two rounds of singles with the first matches beginning at 9 a.m. on indoor courts. Five Lobos will participate in the singles competition. Ryba, White, Sotirchos and Hayman will be joined by freshman Victoria Tessmar.

Saturday will be the longest day of competition with the final two rounds of doubles and the third round of singles starting at 9 a.m. Sunday is the final day of the tournament and will feature the singles finals. The start times for Sunday are yet to be determined.
