Juniors Jordan Pacheco and Bobby LaFromboise were selected in the ninth and 14th rounds, respectively. Pacheco was taken with the 282nd overall pick by the Colorado Rockies while LaFromboise was selected by the Arizona Diamondbacks with the 433rd pick.

Bobby LaFromboise was chosen by the Arizona Diamondbacks in the 14th round.

LaFromboise was a First Team All-MWC and an All-MWC Tournament honoree in 2007. He was 7-3 on the year with a 3.35 ERA in his first year as a Lobo after transferring from Rio Hondo Community College in Whittier, Calif. He threw a six-hit, complete game shutout against San Diego State in the first round of the MWC Tournament. It was his second complete game of the season. A native of Downey, Calif., LaFromboise struck out 74 batters in 88.2 innings this season.

The Lobos have had a least one player selected in the Major League Baseball First-Year Player Draft 14 of the last 15 straight years. The duo are the 35th and 36th athletes selected in head coach Rich Alday’s 18-year career at New Mexico.
