LAS VEGAS – Junior left-handed starter Bobby LaFromboise was the only Lobo selected to the 2007 Mountain West Conference All-Tournament baseball team, announced Saturday, May 26 following TCU’s 9-8 win at Earl E. Wilson Stadium, claiming its second straight championship title.
LaFromboise, one of two starting pitchers selected to the 11-player team, opened the tournament for New Mexico on Wednesday, May 23 against San Diego State. He hurled a six-hit, complete-game shutout, striking out six Aztecs. He was honored on Tuesday, May 22 at the pre-championship conference banquet, making the all-conference first team as a starting pitcher in his first year as a Lobo.
