Albuquerque, N.M. – The No. 66 University of New Mexico men’s tennis team (6-2) extend a perfect 5-0 record at home this season after winning their third and final match of the weekend, 4-3, over the Sacramento State Hornets.

Although the Lobos only had one doubles win, Johnny Parkes and Chris Parkes in an 8-1 victory over Sac State, and failed to take the doubles point, the team rallied to take four of the six singles matches today. Kamil Pajkowski easily strode past Tim Lantin in a 6-1, 6-1 match and Max Jones held his opponent, Gabriel Loredo, to a 6-3, 6-3 match giving Jones the victory at the No. 3 spot. Chris Parkes held on at the No. 6 position after a 7-5, 6-3 win over Ramon Perez, to give New Mexico the edge and Miles Bugby battled out a tough match to win 6-4, 7-6 (2) to clinch the match for the Lobos.

The Lobos head to Boise, Idaho next week for three matches in two days against Idaho, Pacific and Boise State on March 9 and 10.
