“I thought Air Force did a better job than we did at executing in the last six minutes of the game. I think we went off on our own a little bit. I don’t think we were working for the same shots that we were on defensively. You can’t tell them more than we told them that they’re going to drive the basketball. They drove it every time. For some reason we couldn’t contain them.
You’ve got a chance to beat the 13th best team in the country on your home floor and you’re playing well for 30-some odd minutes. The crowd’s in the game and we didn’t execute and that’s what elite teams do, especially in February.”
On personnel the last five minutes of the game:
“I wanted to play a lineup that I thought was going to give us the best chance to be able to contain the bounce and get a good shot.”
