COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – New Mexico junior Tony Danridge was named the Mountain West Conference Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, marking his second weekly honor of the season and career.

Danridge, a San Bernardino, Calif., native, led the Lobos to a home victory over Wyoming (91-83) and their first road win of the season at Colorado State (70-66). Against the Cowboys, he scored 11 points on 5-of-11 shooting, while grabbing three rebounds and handing out three assists. Danridge also contributed a steal and a blocked shot vs. Wyoming. He followed with a career-high tying 24 points, along with five rebounds and two steals against CSU. Danridge scored 17 of his 24 points in the second half, on 7-of-9 (77.8 percent) shooting. For the game he shot 10-for-17 from the field.

For the week, Danridge averaged 17.5 points, 4.0 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.5 steals per game, while shooting 53.6 percent from the field (15-for-28), including 2-of-2 from three-point range, and 75.0 percent from the free-throw stripe (3-for-4).
