-UNM falls to 12-8 overall and 1-4 in the Mountain West Conference with the 73-68 loss at San Diego State…the Lobos has lost 5 of their last 6 since Jan. 1…New Mexico is 1-4 in league play for the first time since 2002-03
-New Mexico has lost 8 straight road games since a win last year at TCU
-The Lobos have lost 3 in a row to San Diego State for the first time since 1985-86
-UNM shot better than 50% for the third straight game, making 28 of 55 shots for 51%…the Lobos lost for only the 6th time in the past 66 games when out-shooting their opponent…SDSU made 46% (28-51)
-Led by Chad Toppert’s 12 points, the Lobos got 28 points from their bench
-UNM was out-rebounded 37-26 and has been out-boarded by 8 caroms a game in 5 MWC contests
-The Lobos were 4 of 8 from the FT line, lowering the overall season percentage to 66.5% and 56.9% (37-65) in MWC games
