ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After a programming change by 1310 The Ticket, KDEF 1150 AM is back to supply exclusive broadcasts of Lobo baseball on 1150 AM and throughout the world at www.KDEF1150AM.net. All of the team’s 25 home games and the Mountain West Conference Tournament will be broadcast live.
1310 the Ticket signed on to broadcast the games in October but have changed their station’s format in recent weeks. KDEF 1150 AM, which broadcast the last three seasons, welcomed the Lobos back to their lineup, with a slight change. Unlike previous years, there is no longer a charge to listen live.
Dan Rivera will call the play-by-play for the Lobos, while Mike Foote will provide analysis. It marks the fourth straight season the duo will call Lobo baseball.
Prior to each broadcast there will be a pre-game show, which includes an interview with head coach Rich Alday, sponsored by First Community Bank. Fans who want to comment on the games or ask our analysts a question, send emails to the crew at daniel.rivera@home123.com anytime and they will be read on air.
In addition to the broadcasts, all of New Mexico’s home games can be followed live on the internet at www.GoLobos.com with Gametracker. Gametracker takes official statistics from the press box and provides up-to-the-minute information for users, including updated team and individual stats, an updated box score, and play-by-play. Gametracker can be accessed on the right side of UNM’s home page in the upcoming events box.
The New Mexico baseball team opens the 2007 season Feb. 6 at Texas Tech. The Lobos’ home opener is set for Friday, Feb. 23 against Texas State at 3 p.m.
