-New Mexico falls to 11-4 with the 70-68 loss to the Red Raiders…Texas Tech improves to 11-4
-The Lobos nearly equaled the greatest comeback in school history…UNM trailed 33-13 in the first half and 48-35 early in the second half, but took a 56-55 lead after a Jeffrey Henfield 3-pointer…New Mexico led 66-63 following a Tony Danridge dunk with 5:51 remaining…however, the rest of the game UNM committed 2 turnovers and was 1 of 8 from the floor, including J.R. Giddens’ missed 35-footer at the buzzer that would have won the game
-UNM’s largest comeback is 20 points at Hawai’i on Jan.
15, 1993…the Lobos trailed 31-11 with 5:30 left in the first half, but won 61-58
-UNM employed its 7th different starting lineup of the season and 5th in the past 5 games
-New Mexico was 0 of 5 from the FT line while Texas Tech was 18 of 24…with game stats going back to the 1959-60 season (although not every game is available during that span), there was no game found where UNM did not make a free throw…the low was 1 made in 3 attempts at Colorado State during the 1988-89 season
