The University of New Mexico Nordic Ski Team continued its preparation for the 2007 collegiate season with FIS Super Tour sprint races in Soldier Hollow, Utah, Sunday. Junior Laura Van Alst, the only Lobo competing for the women, placed 33rd out of 37 races after falling at the start. Freshman Vsevolod Soloviev placed second among the collegiate skiers and 22nd overall on the menââ,¬TMs side.
Also racing for the Lobo men were senior Jedd Young and sophomore Rick Grahn. They finished 47th and 48th, respectively, out of 61 racers overall.
