The University of New Mexico Nordic Ski Team competed in FIS Super Tour 10/15K freestyle races in Soldier Hollow, Utah, on Saturday. The Lobos had solid showing from junior Laura Van Alst and freshman Vsevolod Soloviev in the races.
Van Alst, a 2006 All-American, placed 19th overall in the women’s 10K and was third among the collegiate racers. Soloviev was 41st out of 83 men’s skiers and the fifth fastest collegiate racer in the men’s 15K.
