-The Lobos are bowl eligible for the 6th straight season, the only team in the Mountain West Conference that can make that claim…UNM will play in the inaugural New Mexico Bowl Dec. 23 at University Stadium

-The Lobos’ 24 first quarter points are the most in the opening period since New Mexico scored 24 against New Mexico State on Sept. 24, 1983…that’s a span of 275 games.

-The Lobos’ three interceptions today are a season-high…UNM had 10 interceptions in its last seven games…the Lobos have recorded 14 interceptions in their last five meetings with San Diego State, including three each of the past two years.

-Sophomore TB Rodney Ferguson rushed 22 times for a career-high 210 yards…he is the 7th Lobo to surpass 200 yards in a game…he now has 1,132 yards on the season, the 5th-best single season total in school history…New Mexico has had a 1,000-yard rusher five straight years…it’s Ferguson’s third 100-yard rushing game of the season…he is the first Lobo to rush over 200 yards since DonTrell Moore had 242 vs. Colorado State in 2003.

-Senior lobo Quincy Black had nine tackles, giving him 113 for the season…that’s the most since Brian Urlacher had 154 in 1999

-Junior WR Travis Brown caught 3 passes for 18 yards…he now has a catch in 24 consecutive games and 29 of his 32 career games…he has 99 career receptions (1,060 yards), ninth all-time at UNM.

-Senior OT Robert Turner started his 48th consecutive game at New Mexico, which is every game in his Lobo career

-Senior K Kenny Byrd, a Lou Groza Award Semifinalist, made both of his FGs today from 35 and 45 yards…Byrd has hit 18 FGs in 2006, tying Bob Berg for the 2nd most in a single season at UNM…Berg made 18 in 1974 and ’75…Colby Cason is the single-season leader with 21 in 1997…Byrd is now 32 of 40 on FGs in his career and has made 24 consecutive FGs from inside 40 yards in his career…Byrd scored 11 points today, giving him 84, tying Stoney Case (1993) for No. 8 in a single season at UNM.

-Sophomore CB Glover Quin had 4 tackles today, giving him 59 for the season…that’s the most stops by a Lobo cornerback since Art Celestine had 72 in 1995.

-Sophomore CB DeAndre Wright recorded his team-high 4th interception of the season…he has 13 passes defended on the season (9 PBU, 4 INT).
