The Lobos are 4-0 for the first time since the 2004-05 season.

UNM senior Aaron Johnson logged his 20th career double-double, his 1st at New Mexico, with 10 points and a season-high 14 rebounds.
The last time New Mexico had two players get a double-double was Dec. 9, 2004 in an 86-52 victory over Northern Colorado: Danny Granger 21 points and 11 rebounds; David Chiotti 14 points and 11 rebounds.
New Mexico G Chad Toppert tied a career-high for the third time this season by making three 3-pointers – all in the second half.
The Lobos’ scoring margin in their first four games is +34.5 points.
New Mexico led 9-3, then K-State used a 10-0 run to take a 13-9 lead with 13:40 left in the 1st half…during a scoring drought of 5:04, the Lobos committed 5 turnovers and missed 3 shots…freshman Roman Martinez ended the dry spell by converting an old-fashioned 3-point play with 12:31 left in the 1st half…UNM regained the lead at 15-13 and never trailed again.
Martinez’ 3-point play triggered a 17-0 Lobo run that turned a 13-9 deficit into a 26-13 advantage…K-State was held scoreless for 7:04 (from 13:40 until a FT by Akeem Wright at the 6:36 mark).
UNM’s biggest lead in the first half was 16 points, the last 32-16 with 5:17 left.
The Wildcats went without a basket for 10:05 in the 1st half, from 13:40 to 3:35…they missed 14 straight FG attempts during the drought.
KSU was 9-36 (25%) from the floor in the 1st half, 5-11 from 3-point and 4-25 (16%) from inside the arc…for the game, the Wildcats shot 20-70 from the field, 6-22 from 3-point and 14-48 from inside the circle.
Tony Danridge was 1 of 12 from 3-point in his career before a make in the 2nd half gave UNM a 46-31 lead.
After scoring 22 points last year against New Mexico, Cartier Martin had just 11 tonight on 4-17 shooting…he needs 3 points to became the 19th Kansas State player to reach 1,000 career points.
David Hoskins came into the game leading KSU in scoring at 18.7 ppg…he finished with 2 points tonight, on 1-6 FGs in 20 minutes.
