ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The Lobos will host a middle school tennis clinic on Friday from 3:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the UNM Tennis Complex. Students who sign up through their school as a part of the USTA Northern New Mexico Tennis Association Mid-School League will receive instruction from UNM’s coaches and players.
The Mid-School League is a six week interscholastic after school league for grades 6-8, run under the auspices of USTA Northern New Mexico Tennis Association, the local arm of the USTA. The program runs from the start of school in the fall through the third weekend of October, which wraps up with a two-day end of season tournament. Public, private, church and parochial schools participate. This year 630 players commprised 43 teams in five divisions. This was the 11th and most successful year of the program.
