Salt Lake City, Utah – The University of New Mexico women’s tennis team had a perfect day today winning all three of their singles matches and both doubles matches in the first day of the ITA Regional Championships at the University of Utah’s Eccles Tennis Center.

In singles play Mackenzie White led the Lobos with a victory against Teri Wilkerson from NMSU (6-3,6-7,6-3) making her undefeated in the fall season (7-0). Tomorrow she will take on the number three seed from BYU, Lauren Jones. White continued on to her doubles play with teammate Nora Quintal to defeat Katie Ennega and Kelli Lindley from Weber State (8-4). The duo then went on to plow past Lauren Pascoe and Anastasia Sazykina from Idaho in an 8-2 match.

Quintal won her singles match against Danni Paulson from Montana in a 6-2, 6-2 victory and will prepare to play 8th seeded Tatiana Ganza from Boise State. To round out the singles matches Sandra Zmak had a win against BYU’s Dolly Chang, 6-2, 6-3 and will match up against Veera Nurmi from CU tomorrow. For complete results visit UtahUtes.com.
