COSTA MESA, Calif. – Max Jones was the last remaining Lobo in the USTA Futures event in Costa Mesa Calif. He had worked his way through the qualifying round before comming up short against sixth seeded Alberto Francis in the first round of the main draw yesterday. Francis the former stand out and All-American at UCLA was able to defeat Jones in straight sets 7-5 6-4.
Jones will head to the ITA All-American tournament in Tulsa, Oklahoma in late September.
