-Michael Tuohy’s 11-yard interception return for a touchdown in the second quarter was the Lobos’ first defensive score of the year…the last defensive score for New Mexico was Cody Kase’s 2-yard fumble return against Utah (11-12-05) last year…the Lobos’ Evroy Thompson also returned a fumble 28 yards for a touchdown at Missouri in 2005.
-After being called for 15 penalties for 133 yards in the first two games, the Lobos were only flagged once for five yards tonight…the last time UNM had just 1 penalty in a game was against Wyoming in 1999
-The Lobos allowed 8 sacks, the most since San Diego State had 10 in 1991.
-New Mexico was held to 201 yards of total offense, the fewest since 114 at Oregon State in 2004
-The 33 yards rushing by the Lobos is the lowest total since 6 against Oregon State in the 2003 Las Vegas Bowl
-Missouri came into the game averaging 40.5 points and 530 yards of total offense…the Lobos held them to 27 points and 396 yards…the Tigers got 143 yards in the 4th quarter

-The 168 rushing yards by Mizzou’s Tony Temple is the most against a Lobo team since BYU’s Reynaldo Braithwaite gained 169 in 2003

kicked a career-high 52-yard FG…that’s also the longest attempt of his career
his previous long was 46 yards against UTEP last season
52-yard FG ties for the 3rd longest in school history…Rick Walsh hit one from 53 yards against Colorado State in 1987 and Walsh holds the school record with a 56-yarder against San Diego State in 1988
