ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – Lobo fans are in for a treat this Saturday, Aug. 19, with a full afternoon of activities lined up at University Stadium. The schedule begins with a Lobo Yard Sale from 12 – 2 p.m., followed by the annual Fan Photo Day event from 2-4 p.m., which includes a full-pads Lobo football practice. Gates open at noon and admission is free.
The Lobo Yard Sale, a first time event, will be held on the north concourse of the stadium from noon to 2 p.m. Lobo fans can purchase new and used Lobo apparel, including 450 shoes, 40 jackets, 100 pants, 320 t-shirts, 120 shorts, 280 jerseys, 58 duffle bags, polo shirts, hats and much more will be available for purchase on a cash-only basis. Most items will be priced at $5 or less. The proceeds of the sale will benefit the UNM Student-Athlete Advisory Committee Computer Lab.
The annual Football Fan Photo Day – sponsored by News Radio 770 KKOB, Pepsi and Wienerschnitzel, gets underway at 2 p.m. While the football team is practicing, the first 3,000 fans can enjoy free hot dogs. Season tickets will also be available for purchase with 200 of the best available seats will be marked.
The afternoon will conclude around 4 p.m. as fans can meet their favorite Lobos and get autographs following the two-hour practice.
